I went for a set of component speakers for the front in mine, along with a set of full range speakers in the back. I didn't go for parcel shelf speakers at all, haven't got a sub yet either, but it sounds really good even just through my headunit

Sub & Box - massive power american made ones from Crunch their ""groundpounder" range is pretty impressive when matched with one of the same range's amps.
They also do some fairly nice componentts in the GTS and GTR ranges.
Failing that I have the competition range of Mutant stuff the MutantXXX range which is really good for the money!

infinity do a pretty decent range.
The normal thing is just 6x9s in the parcel shelf and usualy a 2-4 channel amp running them or that and the sub.
I had a 15" jbl sub which packed a hell of punch.. bit to much tho. I recon a good 10" or 12" sub you'll be reet. Some componants and the front and you'll be laughing matey.

Hi,
I'd go for a 10" sub max for rock kinda music.......I think a 12" would be too deep and slow.
Paul.

If I have my car yeah no worries
Would benefit more once I get a standalone amp in to power it I think too

if you get an amp it'l sound better, i just had my standard speakers running with a 1000watt amp and the 15" sub. But i just love the base so it was perfect for me.

if you want spot on bass as in its a short sharp punch then get 10's or smaller, due to their size they respond quicker
good quality components in the front with maybe some tweeters if you want the extra high notes
then some not so bassy speakers in the rear, or it will ruin the surround sound of the system as im predicting sub will be in the back
make sure theyre all wired through some high quality wiring not your standard stuff, with a good amp to get the power,
run through a good h/u you should be spot on
