Hey guys, Thought id chuck up a pic or two of my IS as things move along. Ive had the car afew months, unfortunately due to me having to put the car right, im lacking in mods! It needed mats and wipers, so ive gone for a set of tailored mats and aero wipers. But ive had just just pay out for a service, a new cam belt kit, water pump and rear brakes. That little lot could have paid for afew mods - but i guess atleast i know ive got a car chucking afew quid at now! Hopefully! The previous owner wasnt very good at parking. Both the front and back bumpers were scruffed and cracked. One of the sills also had been whacked - So ive just got the car out of the body shop today; ![]() ![]() You can just about see where im in the middle of painting the callipers red. Im also waiting on delivery of some -50mm Tenzo R lowering springs! Hopefully it wont be too long before the car starts looking abit better. |

Always liked these just a shame they never gave us one with a decent powerful engine in, the BEAMS tuned 2 litre is ok but why not put the 1JZ twin turbo in it as standard or the 3S-GTE Lowering springs will make it look awesome mate looking foward to seeing it. Congrats on a very nice clean car |

Thanks, I must admit, (coming from a vRS and a GTi before that) it is lacking in power a touch! Wouldnt mind knowing if there was a sensible way of knocking the power up into the 200's. With it being N/A - Im guessing not?!? However, i did buy the thing as a sensible "not spending money on it" car - So maybe i'll live with standard power and just make it look better. We'll see! |

Airbox mod? De-cat? All costs peanuts and can give bhp. Usually low rev range torque too, but I'm no expert on the Lexus fella |

Dan, Gonna look at a stainless system once ive got this little lot outa the way! Would definitely look at a decat. Be interesting to see how one would sound. I did it to an old GTi 16v Golf and it was deafining! What sort of airbox mod would be recomended? |

Well.........if you get over to accordr.org and make yourself a member, there's a thread entitled the 'LL Airbox Mod' that will detail everything. However, this is specific to the ATR, so obviously you'll need to tailor it to your own needs Have you checked out the two websites I included earlier in your thread? They MUST have an airbox mod |
