 My 2005 Corolla T Sport
Hey guys and Gals, Figured I'd throw some pics up of my motor. I've been attending the Mascrat Meets for a while now, Even in the cold! haha. Just wondered if anybody else is around Runcorn? With the Lightweight 17's With the 18's Engine: Doesn't have a great amount of mods, baby takes up all the money these days! lol. Visual: 17" Lenso Samurai D1R's in White with Red lip / 18" League Alchemists in White/Polished both runing T1R's. Self Tinted Taillights (each to their own ofcourse!) Tinted Windows Teak HEKO Wind Deflectors Suspension: Eibach Pro Kit springs (only a 15mm drop) I R wanting Coilovers Performance: K&N Typhoon SRi MIJ Performance High FLow Cat & 2.25" Catback system The Corolla T Sports run the same 2ZZ-GE as the Gen 7 Celica T Sports / GT's which supposedly push 189bhp as standard. I've had three different Dyno runs now. Minisport in Padiham with K&N Typhoon & TTE Backbox, 209BHP/131lb-ft. - Seemed a bit optimistic with just an intake and backbox.. Went to TDi North in Warrington, Same mods as above, Pulled 206.9BHP and 150lb-ft. Maybe not so optimistic.. only a few bhp out. Went back to TDI North after having the Cat & 2.25" Fitted, Pulled 214BHP/152lb-ft. So who knows, People all have different opinions on Dyno's etc It's quick enough for me anyways. So, Hello!

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
Cool, love this shape Corolla, we had the T3 for a while, really nice drive.
TDi Warrington, i've had a dyno done there on my old celica, it did seem on the high side, but it could well have been accurate.
So any plans for the motor?

Very nearly on a par, performance wise, with the ATR What's the power to weight ratio then

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
Craig_N, I'd imagine that was me, was the first meet I attended this year (besides Mascrat), was with another Corolla, A Celica GT and a MR2.
No further plans for the motor atm as I just can't afford it. Would be nice though.. as for BHP/Tonne..
Well, if the Dyno is accurate then it works roughly 179.7 BHP/Tonne, As the car weighs 1210Kg.
I've been to Santa Pod quite a few times but yet to beat my PB of 15.11secs, the book quotes 8.2S 0-60, but It's more around the high 6's. Very unestimated car as people don't realise they run 2ZZ's. Grandads / Shopping car you see! lol

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
Power to weight ratio is better than ATR slightly Would love to drive this and see how it compares. Especially vtec/vvti etc. Never driven a Toyota before you see.

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
The Power/weight ratio may only just be better, but that's with my mods... so stock for stock the ATR in theory will munch a CTS However, the power/litre ratio is a tad better Rolla T Sport: 189/1.8 = 105bhp/litre Accord TR: 209/2.2 = 95bhp/litre I've never actually driven a Vtec car either... haha. Do have a few friends that have CTR's but never driven' 'em. One has a HKS Catback, INjen CAI and KPro setup.... pulled 227bhp, then some bint in a Pug 206 smashed the front end up 3 weeks later.. he's still waiting for it to be repaired. haha

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
I think 209 at the fly roughly equates to 179 at the wheels/road so yours will be much less than that mate.

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
There's never any guranteed figure of train loss, so there's no real way of guessing what whp is I say my WHP is 170 due to this... Also there's no gurantee as to how accurate dyno's are. But hey... it's always fun to play on 'em And Just for Giggles... 1st Run @ Minisport:(you may wanna skip to 1:54) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3ymqSKXdjI2nd Run @ TDi North: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhiX8h_T ... re=related

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
I've never RRd any car. Not sure if I ever will. Scared it'll blow up How longs do they run the car on RRs before figures are generated And in reeponse to your very first post, I am in the Widnes side of Warrington, about 5 minutes from Runcorn

Re: My 2005 Corolla T Sport
It all depends on what they're doing. When tuning they can be on there for quite some time, but when doing a power run as long as the engine is already up to temprature, it's basicl;y on there as long as it's takes to get to the end of 4th gear. haha... Or whatever gear is the closest ratio anyways.
The only problem I've ever had on the RR is my ABS Light coming on, as the back wheels aren't moving but the front are going crazy, the car thinkgs WTF. lol.
Had to nip to Widnes to Halfrauds today for an Aerial Adapor.. haha
