For christmas my girlfreind got me a few pressies amongst which was a driving day at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire I'd never done anything like this before, so I took my time to choose between an Aston Martin, a Ferrari, an Audi R8 or the Lambo

Decided that all the cars had a place in my heart, but I'd loved the look and sound of the Lamborghini Gallardo ever since I saw one getting onto the ferry at Hull to go to Zeebrugge a few years ago. So that was it. Choice made

Got to Elvington at 9am. Drive day actually only started at 1015am for me, so hung around in the queue for my tuition lap. Then hung around for a further hour and ten minutes before it was my turn

But hell what a turn it was 4 laps of Elvington with a fuckin pest of a co-pilot mithering the tits off me all the way round But regardless he couldn't detract fron the fact that this was one hell of a car to drive. Just pure class in EVERY way, from the sound of the engine to the feel of the wheel

Infact I'd go so far as to say that it almost felt as fast as the ATR

Has anyone else done anything similar

I've done a track experience day..........

But I also had a gallardo for 3 days in october....no co pilot...just me and my best man having a laugh in it! oh, then I picked the wife up and took her to our wedding venue

Wish I hadnt had a co pilot Would have nailed it As is, I clocked up around 107mph, which wasn't bad considering the ain and distinct lack of straights on the circuit

Did a rally driving day course, nothing quite so exotic. just a Focus with stage 1 setup.

And a mental tutor, this guy was built like a brick sh1thouse and mad as a bucket of frogs!

awesome day, would do another track experience in a heartbeat.

Bet the lambo was really exciting

It was mate. If money was no object I'd have the Lambo as my daily drive and the ATR as my weekender
