Hey - Never owned Jap before!
Hey guys, My names Dave. I live in Cheshire. And until December just gone, id only ever driven VW's!
My last couple of cars were a Skoda Fabia vRS (I fancied somthing different) and before that a VW Golf GTi Turbo. After owning afew different Golfs, i tried to do the unusual thing and buy the Fabia. Ive now decided to go a step further and buy a Lexus IS200!
Ive enjoyed it for a month, decided im gonna follow suit and mod it abit. Being a VW head, im struggling for some direction. Thought id join up, say 'hey' and have a look around!

hey bud Welcome to the stie There are plenty of ways you can take the is200, just depends what you want out of it, just a daily cruiser, track car, bit of both and if you want to take it futher, 1/4 mile car then look into a turbo conversion on it Dan.

I'd go with a bolt on supercharger myself Paul.

Re: Hey - Never owned Jap before!
How do fella.
As with everything in life, it all depends on how much cash you want to throw at it. Also what way you want to go. Any large power gains are going to be costly with it being NA, but if you just want looks and sound then thats not to bad!
I'd get on the lexus owners club and have a nosey round if your not already on

Re: Hey - Never owned Jap before!
Thanks for the welcome guys! Definitely a styling man myself! Although i have done style and power before! I normally go down the styling route and then if i keep interest long enough ill look at the power options! Too be honest ive spent a small fortune on the Lexus already: Major service Cam belt and tensioner Water pump Rear discs and pads And then the super expensive tailored mats and aero wipers from good old ebay! Ive still got afew quid spare, booking it in for abit of paint this week (unfortunately there are four dings on the car im gonna have to sort). Then im thinking of a lower and a tiny boot lip to start things off! Im struggling for inspiration - Ive no idea where to look for other pics of IS200's!
