Took the daughter to watch the film Avatar earlier Normally she talks all the way through films etc, but with this being in 3D she was simply aghast at the depth of the picture and it kept her quiet all the way through IMHO this is a quality film. My eyes overloaded with detail in the depth of picture and quality of CGI. In short the whole package blew me away We've never seen anything like this before and it will probably be a while before we see the likes of it again Has anybody else seen the film and what were your opinions What would you score it out of ten? I'd say, a very strong 9.5-10/10

 Re: Avatar
I agree with all of the above, 9.5 out of 10.
I had two problems with the film, the first was me! I just couldn't keep up with the incredible level of detail!
The only real negative was a minor issue with some near objects being out of focus and in 3D but the mid distance objects and background being far sharper, IMO the 3D would have been better if the object in the foreground was in focus andthe background was slightly out. (Scene with video diary - camera was out of focus in the foreground)
Other than that its the coolest film i've seen in ages!

 Re: Avatar
It was 3D and when the cheeky buggers asked us to recycle the specs in the bin provided, well I can honestly say that at 16 quid for 1 adult and 1 child, they'd be kissin my skinny ass before them specs got anywhere near that bin

 Re: Avatar
Best film of the year so far CGI was amazing - expect to see more films of that caliber on the way I would think. Using camerons new techniques, they nailed the CGI - characters looked so real, I forgot they were animated.....They seem to have cracked the eyes on the characters too - previously the eyes kind of looked 'dead'... 10/10! Paul.

 Re: Avatar
You don't have to be a geek to understand the depth of work that's gone into producing the effects in this film Marc I'm as thick as a bulls knob, as far removed from a geek as you could get, and I know the effects etc are incredible
