The theory with ported boxes is that the bass note can reach a lower frequency, only if the air volume is correct, generally larger than a non ported box.

So if your boxes are working perfectly non ported, then porting them will raise the lowest note the speakers can produce, possibly reducing the LF output. But its a dark art so it may yeild unexpected results!

hi there

do you do boot builds with gear people already have. the reason i ask is that i had a mondeo st200 with a huge install and i took most out when i got my supra. everything was top of the range alpine mrv-540 ampsx2 iva d900r pxa-h700 2x12 rockford punch subs and all the wiring 6x9 focals for rear fill only thing i didnt take was focal components which id no doubt purchase from yourself but obviouslt the subs in current box are now going to have to be rehoused and all new boot build.

was wondering if we could have a chat and talk ideas/prices for you to install/build

In short - yes.

There are some issues installing "old" gear, its going to have no warranty whatsoever from me, for obvious reasons. This is mainly to cover myself for faulty or "end of life" electronics - not that i'm suggesting yours are.

I'm perfectly happy to have a chat about your requirements. I'll PM my number to you shortly.

Prices depend heavily on what design and materials you would like using. Fibreglass is no problem if that's what you'd like.

I've some builds already booked in with me, but June is looking available at the momnet. :)
